The Quality Dealers Group of Companies comprises of three companies, namely Quality Dealers Roofing Limited (Roofing), Q. D. and Ace Hardware Limited (Superstore, Hardware and Home Centre) and Tony Walker Construction Realty Limited (Real Estate and Development). The group touts the motto “ Symbol of Quality, Serving You Since 1972”. All three companies are located at the Head Office at 8 Red Hills Road, Kingston 10, Jamaica.

Q. D. Roofing Limited
The first of the Quality Dealers Group of companies, QD Roofing could be considered as the pioneers for the development of the metal tile roofing industry in Jamaica.
QD Roofing was founded in 1972, introducing the Decramastic metal tile roofing system from New Zealand to Jamaica. In 1975 the company established it’s headquarters on Red Hills Road, Kingston 10, and in 1986 the company acquired equipment and began manufacturing the Decra profile in Jamaica. At the present QD Roofing sells a variety of popular roofing systems as well as manufactures Decra Metal Tiles and Alusteel Sheeting in two profiles.
QD Roofing has received numerous awards including a prestigious award in 1981 for the Caribbean for “Outstanding Distributor for Decramastic Roofing.” The company is founded and remains committed to providing quality products and services. Constant plans for improvements and growth will ensure the continued positive contribution to the people of Jamaica.

Tony Walker Construction Realty Limited
In January 1982, the Real Estate and Development arm of the Group, Tony Walker Construction Realty Limited, was formed. The company’s motto is “Combining Quality Service with Quality Buildings.”
The company, which bears the name of it’s founder who was himself involved in real estate sales since 1968, markets and sells real estate. TWCR has been involved in a number of housing developments such as Leitham Townhouses (Shortwood Road), Palomino Townhouses (Waterworks), and most recently Mi Casita Apartments, a twenty-two unit, two bedroom, Mediterranean styled apartment complex, located on Surbiton Road Kingston, as well as many others.

In March 1982 Q. D. Hardware Limited was formed. In 1992 in an effort to satisfy the ever-changing demands of consumers, the company entered into a franchising arrangement with Ace Hardware International, a United States based entity.
This franchising arrangement transformed Q. D. Hardware into Q. D. & Ace. The company now became the first establishment in Jamaica to offer the “Hardware Supermarket Superstore” concept.
Q. D. and Ace continues to provide a wide range of quality hardware and household items in a comfortable shopping environment with professional service.

The wholesale division of Quality Dealers Limited is the newest addition to the Quality Dealers Group of Companies.

The Builders Arcade
The Builders Arcade was formed in 1984. It was also the first establishment of its kind in Jamaica. It primarily functioned as a building centre, which incorporated over twenty-eight (28) different companies supplying various types of building materials. Among these companies were Berger Paints, Black’s Block Factory, Caribbean Metal Products (C.M.P.) and Sealy Posturepedic.
The Builders Arcade was geared to providing consumers with an environment in which they could easily access to all their building requirements while saving money and time.
Overview
The Group now provides employment for in excess of three hundred people and has four (4) branches conveniently located in Montego Bay, Mandeville, Morant Bay and Santa Cruz. The company is looking to expand branches at strategic locations.
The long-term goal of the group is to continue on a pattern of growth and development with great emphasis on housing, manufacturing, exporting and the creation of employment for fellow Jamaicans.
